It's December 2nd and Christmas parties are happening. The local paddling club is having their annual get together; pot luck, $10 gifts, the usual. Admission is $10/person, by check, in advance. Trouble is there's only one personal check left and it's partial filled out on the payee line. Dearest suggest using a company check instead.
- (Me) No problem. Pass it over and I'll write it out.
- (Her) But wait, you could use the last personal check, cross out the partial name, initial the change and send that instead.
- (Me) O.K. Would you rather I did that instead of a company check?
- (Her) No, use a company check.
Argh!
